JOB DESCRIPTIONS AND APPLICATION LIST BELOW

Housekeeping-

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: The Housekeeper is responsible for cleaning and arranging lodging, public spaces and facilities of the campground in a sanitary, economical and efficient manner so they are ready for use by customers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Cleans rooms, including bathrooms, and public areas by vacuuming, wiping, mopping, sweeping, and dusting surfaces. Move and arrange furniture and equipment to clean through a room or area.

• Performs regular periodic, and as needed, cleaning of areas and objects such as rugs, curtains, shelves, displays, blinds, windows, storage areas, phones and other objects.

• Maintain and launder towels, bed linen and other washable objects.

• Keep track of supplies and arrange to order needed cleaning and maintenance supplies.

• Follows approved housekeeping and safety practices to ensure that safe conditions are maintained in the campground’s public areas and rooms.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High school graduate or equivalent is preferred but not required. Previous institutional housekeeping experience is preferred.

• Knowledge of housekeeping sanitation requirements is preferred.

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS:

• Valid Wisconsin State driver’s license.

Maintenance- 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Under the direction of the Campground Manager, perform responsible grounds maintenance duties including maintaining parking lots, picnic areas, boating and other activity areas, play areas and fields, maintaining vegetation and landscaped areas and performing routine maintenance to assigned tools and equipment.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Prepare and maintain picnic, play and activity and surrounding landscape areas; sweep and clean public areas

• Maintain and care for trees, flower beds and vegetation in the campground.

• Perform a variety of general groundskeeping duties including raking, weeding, trimming trees, fertilizing, transplanting trees and shrubs and pruning hedges and shrubs.

• Perform minor and preventive maintenance and repair work on equipment and facilities; assist with other maintenance work as assigned including painting and mixing, pouring and finishing concrete.

• Operate and maintain a variety of grounds maintenance equipment and tools including tractor, truck, backhoe, splitseeder, rototiller, aerator, sod cutter, jack hammer, fork lift, pruner, clipper, power boom, line marking machines, small hand and power tools.

• Perform related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:

• Methods, tools and materials used in cultivating and maintaining landscaped and recreation areas.

• Basic grounds maintenance procedures including mowing, edging, raking and weeding.

• Operation and maintenance of hand and power tools and equipment used in grounds keeping.

• Pruning, cultivating, fertilizing, watering and spraying of flowers, trees and shrubs.• Proper methods of storing equipment, materials and supplies.

• Health and safety regulations.

• Basic record-keeping techniques.

• Perform heavy manual labor which will require continuous heavy lifting, pushing and pulling heavy loads or objects. The work environment will require standing almost the entire work shift, as well as bending over to perform maintenance work, reaching with both arms and lifting with legs.

• Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others, and complete tasks without close supervision.

• Work in an outdoor setting under all weather conditions to perform grounds maintenance work in the preparation and maintenance of recreation areas, trees, shrubs and hedges. The position requires the employee to be able to move around irregular surfaces which have no smooth pathways and to climb up and down structures, ladders or steps.

• Work with and around power equipment ranging from full size tractors to mowers and edge trimmers, as well as hand tools.

• Handle and use specialized chemicals to control and eradicate weeds, insects and other pests.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

• High school graduate or equivalent is preferred but not required.

•Any combination equivalent to: one year experience maintaining grass, trees, shrubs, recreational areas, or fields and related equipment preferred.

 Camp Office Clerk-

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Camp Store Clerk operates the campground store through tasks involving staffing the counter, stocking the retail store, and operates reservation software. Camp store clerk is responsible for general customer service duties including answering the telephone. This position may involve light housekeeping, directing family activities or delivering firewood as needed.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Staffs the campground store and manages the front desk.

• Preforms check-ins and check-outs.

• As needed coordinate/run family group activities such as: Tie Dye, Slime station, S’mores and movie night, ETC.

• Inventories, stores, prices, and restocks merchandise displays in retail store: Takes inventory or examines merchandise to identify items to be reordered or replenished.

• Stocks storage areas and displays with new or transferred merchandise.

• Cleans display cases, shelves, and aisles. Restrooms may also be included at times.

• Itemize and total customer merchandise selection at check out counter, using cash register, and accept cash or charge card for purchases. Pack customer purchases in bags or cartons.

• Be strictly accountable for the amount of all property and cash entrusted to the custody of the clerk.

• Other duties as assigned

Campground Team Leader- 

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Campground Leader provides administrative support for the campground. This position supports the campground through tasks involving answering general questions, dealing with customers, employees, vendors and contractors. The Leader would also be in charge of coordinating staff duties/schedules and overall supervision of campground duties.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Serve as administrative assistant to the Campground Owners. This includes drafting correspondence by answering general questions and dealing with customers, employees, vendors and contractors.

• Prepare campground newsletters and information, assist with updates to the website for the campground for each week

• Coordinates weekend events as scheduled.

• Oversees check-ins and check-outs.

• Sets up advertising signs and displays merchandise on shelves, counters, or tables to attract customers and promote sales.

• As needed manage family group activities such as: Tie Dye, Slime station, S’mores and movie night, ETC.

• Oversee Camp Store Clerk employee duties.

• Oversee inventory lists.

• Coordinate staffing schedules as needed.

• Other duties as assigned

Bartender & Snack Shop (The Fox Den)-

General Description:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION:

The Bartender & Snack Shop Worker is responsible for providing delicious drinks & tasty, palatable food for customers of the campground in a sanitary, economical and efficient manner.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

• Prepares or assists in the preparation of a variety of foods in accordance with campground production standards.
• Sets up and serves meal or meal components.
• Accepts money for food and beverages served during the day.

• Makes sure the bar and kitchen area are cleaned every day. Before and after shift.

• Makes sure The Fox Den bathrooms are clean and stocked.

• Makes sure The Fox Den building is clean, stocked, and sanitary for guests.

• Cleans and sanitizes in accordance to approved housekeeping and safety practice for the following: pots and pans/utensils, counters and prep tables, dish room and restroom facilities, tables and chairs in lunchroom and floors.
• Operates, cleans and sanitizes all kitchen equipment.

• Follows approved housekeeping and safety practices to ensure that safe conditions are maintained in the kitchen, food-serving areas, and in dining area.
• Stores food and supplies in accordance with instructions.
• Performs other duties as described, but no work will be performed outdoors or in ground or building maintenance.

• Other duties as assigned

LICENSES AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Wisconsin State driver’s license.

• Valid Wisconsin Bartenders license.

Bonus:

• Valid Serve Safe License.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
High school graduate or equivalent is preferred but not required. Previous food service experience and bartending experience is preferred.

When it comes to being a bartender there are plenty of responsibilities that one has to carry out. Below is a list of responsibilities that come with being a good bartender.

1) Mixing various ingredients to make cocktails and cocktails. Pouring of wine and beer is also necessary.

2) Washing of equipment, barware and glasses after use.

3) Collecting payments and operating the cash register.

4) Serving customers who sit at the bar with food and drinks.

5) Deciding on whether a customer has had too much of alcohol.

6) Cleaning of the work area and the bar counter.

7) Taking orders and serving them to the right customers.

8) Providing list of supplies that are required for the bar that would need to be ordered.

9) Arranging of bottles etc. at the bar to make it look good.

10) Checking to ensure that customers meet the legal age requirements before buying alcohol products.

Skills:

1) Bartenders must be able to move and handle glasses, bottles etc. with care and in a manner that they will not break.

2) They need to be able to follow drink recipes and mix ingredients in the appropriate quantities.

3) They need to have a good memory to be able to memorize orders and ensure that the right order gets to the right customer.

4) Good interpersonal skills are a must as they deal with the customers directly.

5) The ability to deal with difficult or intoxicated customers in a professional manner.
